SEMINARS

These seminars provide a unique opportunity for people who work within offender management to explore, in a safe and supportive atmosphere, the value of their inner resources and the important part these can play in making our work places more effective and positive. As such, our seminars complement and enhance existing positive practices and empower the vision and values that underpin the ethos of the National Offender Management Service (NOMS).

Facts and Figures:

Between 1994 and 2005, over six hundred people have attended our national seminars and residential retreats, including:

  • governors, discipline grades, educators, administrators, chaplains, psychologists, nurses and prison headquarters personnel
  • Probation Service officers
  • representatives from more than 60 prisons and 30 voluntary organisations
  • members of the Independent Monitoring Board, Prison Ombudsman, Prison Inspectorate, police, drug agencies, academia, business and independents.

These events are designed as either One-day Seminars or as Residential Seminars

A really excellent seminar! The true effects were not felt until I got home and allowed things to settle. I was so struck by the peace embedded in the work done and especially how we all blended together. Thank you for all you do to create peace in our world.
